For the summer Olympics, Bridgestone contacted MRi for a purpose-driven promotion to increase loyalty and also incentivize employees to sell the product.

SOLUTION

What is more engaging and motivating than the Summer Olympics? It’s a time where people all over the world unite to celebrate athleticism and competition.  Bridgestone wanted to build on the excitement of the Olympics by creating an instant win promotion, so fans could feel like winners alongside the medalists. To streamline the process, we added OCR so customers could scan their receipt to enter for a chance to instantly win up to $10,000. We created three tiers of prizes: bronze, silver, and gold. In addition, participants qualified for rebates on their purchase.

But why stop at customers? Bridgestone believed their employees should feel like winners as well. Bridgestone wanted to increase participation for this promotion to ensure its success, so we added two employee trade promotions (one for Bridgestone Retail Sales Operations and the other for Bridgestone Affiliated Retailer Nationwide Network) to pair with the instant win game. For each winner, the retail location who made the winning sale received a matching prize. This served to incentivize employees to increase sales and participation.
