This Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy” or “Policy”) is intended to describe how Marketing Resources Inc. (“Marketing Resources,” “MRi,” or “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information that you submit to us and that we collect through our website, or anywhere else where this Policy is posted. It also is intended to describe your rights in connection with that information. Please note that information collected in connection with a promotion that we administer on a client’s behalf is collected, used, and shared according to that particular client’s privacy policy (unless a promotion’s terms and conditions specify otherwise); this Privacy Policy does not apply to that collection, use, or sharing. 

WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We (and our vendors and service providers) collect several categories of personal information from and about users:

  • Contact Information: For example, we might collect your email address, phone number, and first and last name. 
  • Online Identifiers: For example, we might collect your IP address, browser and/or device ID, and internal and third party IDs that have been assigned to you.
  • Browsing and Usage Information: If you use our website(s), we may collect information about the browser you are using. We might track the pages you visit. We might look at what site you came from, or what site you visit when you leave us.  We collect this information using the tracking tools described below.
  • Information You Submit: If you submit a question or comment or apply for a position at our company, we will collect the information you provide to us.
  • Location Information:  We collect your general location using your IP address. 

HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION

We may collect personal information in a variety of ways:  

  • We collect information directly from you.  We may request and collect information directly from you, such as when you contact us or apply for a job with us.
  • We collect information from you passively.  We use various tracking technologies such as cookies, web beacons, and embedded scripts to automatically collect information about you when you interact with our websites and emails.  Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive or in device memory that help us customize and improve our services and your experience, see which areas and features of our services are popular, and count visits. Web beacons (also known as “pixel tags” or “clear GIFs”) are electronic images that may be used in our Services or emails and help deliver cookies, count visits, and understand usage and campaign effectiveness.   • We get information from third parties.  For instance, we may engage with vendors and service providers to collect or provide us with information about you. 
  • We combine information.  We may combine information we have collected offline with information we collect online.  We may combine information we get from a third party with information we already have.

HOW WE USE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may use the personal information we collect and receive for the following purposes:

  • To operate our business and administer promotions on behalf of clients, such as maintaining our websites, providing promotion registration, notifying winners, and awarding prizes
  • To respond to your requests or questions
  • For analytical purposes and conducting market or consumer research 
  • To protect our company, our websites, our clients, and our end-users, including for security and fraud detection purposes
  • To improve our websites and our services
  • For marketing purposes, such as sending information about promotions, new features, and updates; learn how to manage these preferences by reading the Your Choices section below
  • To develop customized messaging and personalized experiences to each individual
  • To contact you in relation to important updates of a non-marketing nature
  • To comply with and enforce applicable legal requirements, internal policies and industry standards and as otherwise permitted by law

We may also aggregate your information to gain insights into our services. 

WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH OTHERS

We may share personal information with others under the following circumstances:

  • Business partners and clients: For example, we might share information with a business that collaborates on projects or co-hosts events with us. We may share your information with the client on whose behalf we have created a promotion or site.  
  • Vendors and service providers: We may share information with vendors and service providers who help us operate our business, such as hosting or maintaining our websites, hosting our databases, fulfilling prize distribution, sending emails, or providing advertising or marketing assistance.
  • Within our company: We may share information within our company and with any affiliated entities. 
  • Legal compliance: We may disclose your information to comply with legal process or a subpoena or to otherwise comply with law or regulation, or at the request of a governmental entity who is conducting an investigation. We may also share information when we are investigating potential fraud or abuse including, but not limited to, fraud we think happened during a promotion. 
  • Business reorganization: If part of our business is sold, transferred, or merged, we may share or transfer information as part of that transaction.
  • Other reasons we may describe to you: We may share your information for other purposes as we disclose to you from time to time. 
  • Aggregated or deidentified information: We may share information that is aggregated or deidentified with any third party for any reason at our discretion, unless prohibited by law.  

DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

We take reasonable security measures and safety precautions designed to secure personal information, but no system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure against access by unauthorized parties. 

YOUR CHOICES

  • You can opt out of receiving our marketing emails. To stop receiving our marketing emails, follow the instructions in any marketing message you get from us.  Even if you opt out of getting marketing messages, we may still send you transactional messages in connection with promotions run on the site, such as responses to your questions or notices about changes to important terms.
  • You can control cookies and tracking tools. We use the following types of cookies:


  • Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our web site. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our web site. This category of cookies cannot be disabled.


  • Analytical cookies. These cookies allow us to recognize and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our web site when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our web site works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily. Information collected by Google Analytics cookies will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States of America in accordance with its privacy practices.   • Disabling a cookie or category of cookie does not delete the cookie from your browser. You will need to do this separately within your browser. If you have disabled one or more analytical cookies, we may still use information collected from cookies prior to your disabled preference being set.

Please note that the choices you make are browser- and device-specific, meaning that you may need to make the same selection for each device and in each browser you use. If you block cookies on your browser, certain features on our sites may not work.

 

  • You may opt out of interest-based advertising. We may work with third-party advertising companies to provide you with advertising intended to be relevant to you based on your activities on our website or third-party sites (including mobile websites or applications). We may provide this advertising on our sites and other third-party sites that you visit.   • Our Do Not Track Policy. Some browsers have “do not track” features that allow you to tell a website not to track you. These features are not all uniform. We do not currently respond to those signals. If you block cookies, certain features on our sites may not work. If you block or reject cookies, not all of the tracking described here will stop. Certain choices you make are both browser and device-specific.
  • You can control certain tools on your mobile devices. Certain options you select are device specific. Each operating system, iOS for Apple devices, Android for Android devices, and Windows for Microsoft devices, provides its own instructions. WHEN WE ACT AS A SERVICE PROVIDER

We have a service provider relationship with clients, and act as a “data processor” with respect to the consumer information we collect and process on behalf of our clients. We are not responsible for and have no control over the privacy and data security practices of such clients, which may differ from those explained in this Privacy Policy. If your information has been submitted to us in connection with a promotion being run on behalf of a MRi client and you wish to exercise any rights or choices you may have under applicable data protection laws, please contact them directly. 

LINKS TO THIRD PARTY SITES

We may link to third-party sites that we do not control.  This Privacy Policy does not apply to the information practices of those websites.  You should read the privacy policy of other websites carefully before disclosing any of your information.  You access such linked websites at your own risk. We are not responsible for such third-party sites.

COPPA – Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act

This website is not intended for children under the age of 13.  We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13. 

UNITED STATES ONLY

Our sites are intended only for users in the United States. By using our sites, you understand and agree that you are located in and a resident of the United States, the sites are hosted in the United States and that the data collected through the sites will be stored and processed in the United States. These sites are subject to U.S. laws.

CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

If you reside in California, you have the right to ask us one time each year if we have shared personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make a request, please send us an email, or write to us at the address listed below. Indicate in your letter that you are a California resident making a “Shine the Light” inquiry. For information we have collected on behalf of our clients for their direct marketing purposes, you will need to follow the directions in the client’s privacy policy to contact the client whose promotion you entered or website you have visited.  

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to change or modify this Policy in our discretion at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon the posting of the revised Policy unless otherwise specified and your continued use of the Sites after the effective date of the revised Policy (or such other act as specified in the revised Policy) will constitute your consent to those changes. Data collected prior to the change will handled in the manner in which you originally consented to.

Overview

The System and Network Administrator plays a critical role on the MRi Digital team, and overall in the success of our company. They are responsible for the day-to-day administration and technical support of complex Linux servers, Virtual Infrastructure and Systems Management, and maintenance and support of end-user systems. You’ll be working closely with our teams on client projects and making sure our internal systems are updated and secure.

You will help us create the best digital, promotions, products, and campaigns to achieve our client’s marketing goals. MRi takes pride in our ability to constantly push the boundaries of development in the digital promotions space, and you will take an active role in working closely with our client services, business development, creative, and project management team to guide, develop, and deliver exceptional work for our clients and partners.

Responsibilities May Include

  • Design, install, configure, upgrade, maintain, monitor, and tune performance of Linux-based servers and infrastructure, both internal and client-related promotions.
  • Provide support for problems and issues that come up from our clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Examine and audit various server logs and determine if any corrective action is required.
  • Review releases of new operating systems and evaluate the implementation in the enterprise.
  • Install, configure, and maintain server firewall and other security software.
  • Identify and provide technical resolution for potential security breaches, then establish and monitor security and apply appropriate fixes.
  • Implement and maintain technical solutions for disaster recovery and business continuity of enterprise and client systems.
  • Select the ideal server hardware for the company’s needs and administer physical server hardware, including repair and replacement of parts as necessary.
  • Monitor and maintain proper end-user system security by ensuring operating systems and software are up-to-date and applying patches as necessary.
  • Maintenance and support of all end-user service accounts including Office365, Google Workspace, hosted VoIP accounts.

The Essentials

  • 1-2 years of experience in Linux server administration in a small to midsize environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum 4 years of related work experience.
  • Able to effectively plan, deploy and administer Linux servers in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong familiarity with Linux OS, Windows, macOS, application, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with VMware ESXi and XenServer/XCP-NG, DigitalOcean, Amazon AWS, and Docker.
  • Networking and Storage – Familiarity with pfSense (*BSD pf) firewalls, Ubiquiti network gear, Synology NAS equipment, iSCSI, NFS, SMB, and AFP file protocols.  TCP/IP, UDP, and VLAN. configurations to manage networking and storage.  
  • Ability to compose thorough and clear documentation on routine tasks, standard operating procedures, and other documents beneficial to team members.

You’ll stand out if you have experience with

  • Debian-based Linux or Ubuntu operating systems, roles, services, concepts, security, permissions, middleware, and facilities required. (e.g. SMTP, NFS, SMB, iptables, LVM, LUKS).
  • Amazon AWS S3, EC2, and ElasticBeanstalk required.
  • Samba4 as an Active Directory Domain Controller, Administering Active Directory through. the use of GPOs and OUs.
  • Supporting Windows and macOS systems.
  • Scripting concepts and methods with competence in at least one relevant language (e.g. Bash, Python, Perl, etc.)
  • Internet clients/servers/protocols, including HTTPS, SSH, MTAs (e.g. Postfix).
  • An ability to explain complex technical processes in a more simplified version to team members, clients, and partners.
  • Experience with IT project management practices and techniques.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
